Discussion on the project
was initiated by Atanas Politov, Program Director of Public Interest Law
Institute (further referred to as: PILI), also involved was PILI board member and partner with
Hogan & Hartson Michael Cheroutes. The program’s coordinator
is Julia Kluczyńska – director of
the University Legal Clinics Foundation’s office, who as a lawyer specializing
in foundation and association law collaborates with the MAZOWIA Federation.
Centrum Pro Bono is a
project managed by the University Legal Clinics Foundation which for over five
years has been actively involved in the promotion and popularization of the pro
publico bono activity. The Foundation coordinates, represents and supports a network of 24 legal clinics.
It also works with the bar associations on
the accessibility of free of charge legal aid and has participated in the work
on the act on accessibility of free legal aid. Every year the Foundation
organizes a contest Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year. You can find more information about the University Legal Clinics Foundation.
